So, In brief, I would like to sum up by mentioning below points that would help to peak up your interest till you develop an appetite for it:
- Start with Fiction and preferably the category that suits your interest.
- Prefer paper edition above digital at least for few initial books. Everything from the smell of paper to the sound of turning pages would make you fall in love.
- Be inquisitive and try out various genres. Try reading the popular books in the category. Take the help of Goodreads to get the reviews.
- If possible develop a circle of friends who have the common interest of reading.
- Reading book the last thing of the day is a love of its own kind. Try shutting down your system with reading a book as the last step.
Happy Reading!

The first and foremost point that comes to our mind is:
How to start reading a book?
Right,
I guess many of you must have come across this thought!!!
This is a bit genuine one…
So as mentioned in the poster above,
There are three sections to a book:-
• Front
• Middle
• End
The first step to reading a book is to find a book that interests you. If you haven’t read any books earlier and the idea of reading a thick book tire you, you can start with short stories (so that you don’t get bored with the ever-extending plot of regular novels).
1. Get yourself your favourite munchies and drink.
2. Open the book.
3. Start reading the words written there till you reach some punctuation mark.
4. If it is a comma(,), take a pause and continue reading.
5. If it is a full stop(.) then, then halt and try analysing what you read.
6. Go on, read the following sentence.
7. If the text is between quotation marks (” “). Imagine a character from some movie speaking it for you inside your head (e.g. It’s always Tony Stark inside my head when I need a pep talk). This might be a little difficult initially, but you’ll get used to it, and it’ll just come by itself later.
8. Replace the voices/ characters for different characters in the book. Don’t read all sentences in the same voice. (No, never).
9. Also, try putting emotions in the sentence you read. If it’s a happy sentence, allow yourself to be satisfied. Feel free to let the sound come alive if there’s action involved.
If you were reading some mystery novel and got tired after a few chapters, go to the end and check out who’s alive and missing. Then, go back to where you left and try figuring out what happened to that person. Alternately, you may skip a few chapters and play connect the dots (figuratively).
Reading books is pretty interesting.

Coming on to the next piece of information,
What does it mean by front pages?
- Front pages have the front material, which is the writing at the front of the book that isn’t the first chapter of the book.
- It comes in four basic flavors, and each type serves a different purpose. You can decide on your own whether or not you want to read any given section of front material.
- The four types of front material are:
- Acknowledgments:
A brief section that lists people who helped the author during the writing process.
You can read acknowledgements if you like, but most people don’t bother.
- Foreword: The foreword is written by a different author than the person who wrote the book.
The foreword talks about what to expect from the book and why it is worth reading.
- Preface:
The preface is written by the author of the book.
It is usually (but not always) shorter than the foreword and is basically an essay that explains how and why the book was written.
The preface can give you some valuable insight if you’re interested in the author’s personal life or creative process.
- Introduction:
The introduction is where the author speaks directly to the reader and introduces the book, reviewing its intent and building excitement in the reader about getting to read it.
Introductions are more often found in nonfiction books than fiction books.

Coming on to the next piece of information,
What does it mean by end pages?
- It is other writing, typically by different authors, that appear after the main book has ended.
- If you greatly enjoyed a book, end material can give you a chance to revisit parts of it.
- If you didn’t understand the importance of a book, it can provide important historical and cultural context.
- All end material is totally optional.
No one becomes a reader overnight.
One needs to work on their reading habit. If you want to become a voracious reader or bibliophile, you too have to work on it.
First, start with the genre you like. Or you can also start with short stories in magazines, over the internet.
Enjoy Reading! All the best 🙂
Wow. That’s is something really interesting to develop a reading habits for good. I really loved it the way you elaborate it in a perfect manner.
Must say you are avid reader and these shows in your writing also.
