Ever stared at a blank page, feeling like your brain’s on vacation? Yeah, me too.
That’s why I found this nifty little brainstorming map.
It’s my secret weapon for those “help, I have no ideas!” moments.
Picture this: You’re sitting there with just a tiny spark of an idea. For me, it was “A teenager finds a mysterious object.” Pretty vague, right? But watch this magic happen in just 5 minutes!
I started playing word association (my favourite game at parties, by the way). “Object” made me think “antique,” and boom! Suddenly, I’ve got a centuries-old locket. Cool, huh?
Then I asked myself, “What if?” Guys, this is where it gets wild. What if this locket isn’t just pretty but can bend time itself? Mind. Blown. 🤯
I love the “opposites” trick. I flipped “mysterious” to “familiar,” and guess what? That locket? It belonged to great-grandma all along!
For giggles, I threw in a random object – a mirror. Now my locket’s got this funky reflective surface. The plot thickens!
Lastly, I dug into childhood memories. Remember hide and seek? In my story, that game leads to finding the locket in a dusty old attic.
And just like that, my vague idea transformed into the beginnings of an epic tale. All it took was 5 minutes and a bit of creative chaos.
So, next time you’re stuck, give this map a whirl. Trust me; your story ideas will be great! Thank you!
Hey, if you found this helpful, why not share it with your writer pals?
